Mixed media on wooden cradles
Triptyk: 3 panels, each 8"x6"
The inspiration for this painting came from the experience of facing my mother's closeness to death. For seven months this year, my mother fought for her life in hospitals. As she flirted with the inevitable, thoughts of significant points in her life, in my own life, and in our lives together (passages) filled my mind. The fragility and briefness of life had never been clearer.
This painting is dedicated to my remarkable father, whose unending love and devotion enabled my mother to return to their home.
