Moved by the striking and tragic difference between two years of pine beetle destruction in one of Canada's premier parks, "Memories of Manning" was created.

This is an experimental drawing, rather than a painting, as no pigmented paint was used. Materials used include coloured pencil, decorative papers, German gold leaf and gels. Technically difficult, this drawing required significant experimentation with materials prior to its creation.
