Dramatic golden sunrises greet new days on Kauai's coconut coast. Yet, the brilliance is fragile--to be broken momentarily by bursting rain clouds.
A friend reminded me to mention that traditionally, Hawaiians chant/dance "up the sunrise" with a traditional song, "E Ala E." Recently, while in sacred Wailea (Kauai) at a site that has been used for centuries for this purpose, I was privileged to share in this memorable and beautiful experience.
